2021 Theme Isaiah 43

First I would love to wish you a happy and prosperous 2021. As I was wondering how 2021 is going to be the holy spirit led this words in my heart. “Behold IAM doing a new thing” and it kept ringing in my spirit non-stop.

Personally 2020 was amazing to me. God showed me how it was necessary for me to lean on him, because through leaning on him he broke the chains that were habouring my life since childhood. God filled me with his eternal peace. 2020 was so personal he worked on my character changed who I thought I was and showed me exactly who I was as his child. And the good news is that as I surrendered to him totally, and as he was working in me, he also worked on things around me, suddenly things were just extremely okay. May his name be praised.

So when this words “behold iam doing a new thing” kept ringing in me. I went on to check which Bible verse was it from. Then I decided to read the whole chapter and see what God was trying to tell me.

I thank God because through Isaiah 43 I was able to come up with three key points that I know will be helpful not just to me but to you too as a believer of Christ. I therefore considered it as a theme for 2021.

  • Do not be afraid.

I believe God is telling us that this year 2021 as he is doing new things in us and around us,we should not be afraid. Remember he did not give us the spirit of fear but of power, love and self control. So let’s strive to be courageous in every area of our lives, because new things may come with it’s challanges, so we are supposed to be courageous to handle the challenges that comes with new blessings.

Why we should not be afraid.

He has also promised to be on our side every step of the way. He will lead us through every season of our lives so that we come out unharmed.

Isaiah 43:2

*When we go through the water he will be with us. *When we go through the rivers of difficulty we will not drown. *When we walk through the fire of oppression we will not be burn.

  • Lean on him, for he is the one that makes everything new.

For IAM about to do something new, see I have already began, do you not see it -Isaiah 43:19

Why we should lean on him.

*So that he may bring into accomplishment every new thing he started in us. *So that he may restore everything that the enemy stole from us back to how he intended it to be. *So that we may be in alignment with his will.

There is a way that seems right to a man but the end of it is death.

This is more reason why we should lean on him and ask for his help and guidance. As we enter in the season of abundance. That he may guide and teach us to walk in the new things that he is doing in our lives and around us.Because our own thoughts and ways won’t produce his righteousness.

  • Stay in repentance

*We stay in repentance because we are only human, we are bound to make mistakes. * *So that the enemy doesn’t use guilt to move us away from God. *Because he has promised to blot away our sins and never to think of them again.

It’s my prayer that this three points will guide us through 2021. Let’s lean on him more so that we may walk in nothing but his will.

Wish you all the best

Be blessed.

COEXISTING IN RELATIONSHIPS.

Doing it Jesus way

We have different kind of relationships, just to mention a few parents-children relationship, friendship, marriage etc. It’s important to learn to coexist with each other, despite of our different interests and ideologies. Because that’s God’s intention for us as his children.

Other people are a gift to us from God. No one was created to be alone. God created us in such a way that we need and interdepend with each other.

Even for God to answer our prayers and request he uses people. Not to forget as believers, we all belong in the body of Christ, therefore it’s important to learn to live with each other despite of our differences. Mainly because it’s not about us it’s about Jesus Christ, so let’s dwell our focus on the bigger picture “the body of Christ.”

Jesus taught us to bear with one another, forgiveness and loving one another which is the greatest commandment of all. Meaning is not okay to avoid other people because of our earthly reasons. For instance we avoid people just because we don’t like them or maybe just because they did something wrong.

Yet we try so hard to justify why we avoid and judge them. Forgetting that Jesus had all the reasons to condemn, judge and avoid us . But still he chose us and loved us with his perfect love. Therefore it’s important to try and show love and forgiveness to those who have gone astray ,not forgetting that as believers and children of God it’s wrong for us to judge others , therefore we show love by guiding them back to the right path all for the body of Christ and also for God’s glory.

For any relationship to work, we need to kill our ego and pride and stop lying to ourselves that we are ok alone that we don’t need others. When in real sense we do. We should also stop seeing ourselves better than others.

Let’s not forget there are many benefits of being around others and living in harmony and unity than being alone. Even the word of God tells us two is better than one.

Only Jesus Christ, can teach us how to coexist, how to be good friends , partners or parents and also how to appreciate others, and there efforts towards us.

How you treat people says more about you than about them

Ways to maintain good relationship with others.

  • Stop focusing on others shortcomings and focus on what they do best. No one is perfect, they are not perfect neither are we.
  • Incase of a misunderstanding, solve immediately; it doesn’t matter who is wrong or who is right. This is to show your relationship is bigger than the little misunderstanding.
  • Check up on them oftenly.
  • Be straight forward and open in expressing how you feel
  • Respect each other’s boundaries and respect each others feelings no matter how small it may seem.
  • Pray for each other. This is the only way to connect our relationship with others to God.
  • Avoid tit for tats, give yourself selflessly.
  • Find a way to tell them about their shortcomings in a loving and respectfully way, BUT NEVER DISCUSS THEIR SHORTCOMINGS WITH ANYONE ELSE BUT THEM. “Especially to the “marriage” kind of relationship, you have become one if you discuss their shortcomings with just anyone, you are exposing yourself more than you are exposing your partner.”
  • Praise them, this is to mean give them compliments more often and support them in little ways we can: this shows we believe in them and we are their biggest support.

Let strive to emulate the kind of love that Jesus had for us.

Let’s do it Jesus way

More

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

Life is unpredictable, sometimes it rains, sometimes it’s sunshine, sometimes cold and sometimes hot.

Meaning one day everything will work out in our favour and we will have more than enough and a million reasons to rejoice. And other days we will have nothing, and things won’t be working out the way we planned it or imagined it.

But all in all we should not loose hope because such is life, our current situation should not hinder us from trusting and hoping in God. Just as the word of God says

John 16:33 I have told you this so that you will have peace by being United to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world.

This is Jesus telling us that we will experience trouble as we live in this world, but we should not let the storms of life hinder us from having a relationship with him. Because in him we are more than conquerers.

What do I mean in him we are more than conquerers? I mean that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.

My point exactly is that when we have a relationship with Jesus Christ, when our relationship with Jesus is unshakable no matter what, every season we find ourselves in, God will always supply us the strength we need through his son, to help us go through the seasons victorious and unharmed.

Do you have any seasons in your life that when you look back you don’t know how you came out of it unharmed,? And as you think of everything you went through you can’t help it but see God’s hand in it? I would love to here it in the comment section below.

Be blessed.

When worry and Anxiety creeps in

Most of us despite being believers , we tend to worry and experience anxiety in one situation or the other.

And mostly we experience worry and Anxiety when the situation we are encountering seems to be out of our control. And maybe we don’t have the answers, or either we are not sure how we are going to overcome the challenges we are facing, or we ain’t sure of how we will pass through the storms in our life.

We forget that when things are out of our control we are supposed to surrender them to the most high God our source of peace and just trust him

Remember he did not promise us that we won’t encounter the storms but he promised to be there for us through the storm.

Philippians 4:6-7 says; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything through prayers supplication and thanks giving let your request be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all human understanding will guard your heart and minds in Christ Jesus.

And there are alot of verses in the Bible that God assures us that he will always be there for us even in the storm

e.g Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 41:19, psalms 56:3, psalms 23:4, Mathew 6:34 and many others.

Even so, worrying doesnt make us bad people, neither does it cause God to love us any less. Don’t forget that God loves us no matter what . Because love is who he is but irregardless ,let us build a more solid relationship with God through his son Jesus that we may trust him with all that we are, even when we are passing through a tunnel full of darkness.

Here are four thing that may help us when we feel like worry and anxiety is creeping in our system.

BE THE CHANGE YOU NEED

Most of the times we try so hard to figure things out in our environment, wanting to fix them or change them to be exactly the way we want them to be. It may be in our work place, our marriages or in any kind of relationship that we are in.

However, the more we try the more it gets worse, and in the process we find ourselves tired, drained, frustrated and sometimes depressed.

Well, we cannot change anything , we don’t have the power to change anyone or things. Only Jesus Christ can.

We have to surrender what is buddening our souls, we have to surrender the issues that we are trying to fix totally to Jesus Christ. He is our only source of peace.

Mathew 11:28 says come to me all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest
